Welcome to my website. My name is Ed Bochnak. My passions are traveling, film, videography and photography. I always travel with a camcorder in one hand and the photo camera in the other, forced to choose between the two. I spent my childhood in Poland, in the formative years amazed by the beauty of nature.

The nature books of Arkady Fidler introduced me to the world of butterflies. The photo albums of Wlodzimierz Puchalski also sparked my interest in ornithology, but my pursuit of these subjects was limited to the areas of Debica and Budy Stalowskie. There, I was also introduced to the Atlas Ptakow Legowych Malopolski (Atlas of Laying Birds in the Malopolski Region). However, my horizons really expanded after moving to the USA, where I presently live, and where I was first able to make my dreams come true by becoming a member of a biking expedition in Peru in 1998, and later other adventures all over the world. The main goal of that biking expedition was to find the source of the Amazon River- Carhuasanta. Since then I have been traveling throughout Asia, Africa and South America. Some brief descriptions, pictures, and movies from these expeditions can be found on my website. Additionally, for the last eight years I have been looking for the lost neolithic civilizations on the east coast of the United States, while cooperating with the New England Antiquities and other related organizations. My childhood passions affected my entire life. My curosity caused people who know me to call me a restless spirit. The passions acquired during my youth have permeated my entire being. The call to self analysis, setting lofty goals, discovering new places and experiencing native customs continue to entice me to discover Nature. My motto is "Fight your weakness and get to the edge of the world".
